This CD includes two Yoga Nidra meditations guided by Laura DeFreitas. The short meditation (20 minutes) and the long mediation (45 minutes) provide options that work with your schedule. Each meditation includes an introduction to Yoga Nidra and instructions on how to prepare for the practice and get comfortable in savasana. The mediations offered are suitable for beginners and experienced meditators alike. CD's are available in person and online.
Yoga Nidra is a form of self-inquiry that provides us with a framework for going beyond our own self-limiting beliefs. It allows us to achieve deep physical and mental relaxation, eliminate stress, solve personal and interpersonal problems, and overcome emotions such as fear, anxiety and depression. Yoga Nidra, or conscious sleep, is a play on words implying that most individuals are 'asleep' to their True Nature of love, creativity, wisdom and abundance.
